  • I had never heard about Lee Kuan Yew until this book. While I was checking out reviews of #crazyrichasians before seeing the movie, i got distracted and started reading about Singapore. I was completely mind blown at their transformation. A real grass to grace story. That country wont be where it is now without the dedication and commitment of this man and the work all its citizens put into it. I am not done reading this book cos I'm taking notes like someone reading for an exam. Blogpost on lessons learnt so far coming up. If theres any independence day worthy book for Nigerians, this is it. . . . PS: did you know that Singapore didnt want independence from Britain.   • Everything Good will come. . Been reading alot on positive declarations and then I found this book in the library. . I decided to read it again and heres a mini review. . . The book is well written and the lagos setting is super accurate, the author Sefi Atta can write!!! . However, I want to carry koboko and flog the main character Enitan. She had so much potential which went to waste because she was cynical most of her adult life, she only thought about herself and how crappy Nigeria is . . . .
